I am using 2.42, which doesn’t follow most of the tutorials – no parenting the armature, etc.
I have a bone with the same name as a vertex group, so when I pose the bone the mesh deforms properly (more or less!). However, I want to reposition the bone without the mesh following it, then allow deformation from there. It sounds simple, but my pea-brain can’t figure it out. Thanx!
