Can t slide the edge very near to the next edge

Hi,
my problem which i can not figure out:
i somehow can t slide the edge near to the next one.

The same problem, when i want to bevel an edge … the bevel works but i can the increments are far from the beveled edge

I think it is because of the subdivision surface modifier. Try deactivating the On Cage option. (the far right blue button on the top of the modifier)
