Can you do a render of local view?

Hi, I have isolated an object in Blender 2.8, so it’s easier to work on it.

My question is, is there a way to view this local view in the 3D viewport>rendered view? So i can see the results of it? I just want to be able to get a realistic view of that object locally, not the entire scene

Or is that not possible, since the scene lights arent available in local view?

Hey,
I would like to be able to do this aswell but so far I wasn’t able to find answer/solution. The only kinda workaround I was able to find is this : Select the object you want to render and then press shift+h and it hides all other objects. Problem is that with this method you don’t preserve light conditions like if you are in interior or if there is shadow cast on object you want to render etc. So yeah I would really like to render from local view with all light conditions from full scene but I am not sure if that is possible (yet).

You have to ensure that your “local view” also includes the lights.

Unless they significanly changed 2.8… will test tonight and get back to you, cause I’ve been using this in 2.79 and it worked “reasonably” good.
