Can you reference an OBJ file in Blender?

Hi, newbie question here:

Can you reference an OBJ file in Blender? What I mean is that I import an OBJ file to my scene, and then if I make some changes to this model in another 3D software and override the OBJ file, the object also changes inside Blender.

A good example would be Unity:A model in a scene is linked to the OBJ file itself, so if the file changes, the model also changes automatically in Unity as well.

Is this possible in Blender?

I believe unity is reimporting it… no not automaticly in blender, u has to do it maually. (images can be reloaded)
