CANON Camera AE 1
The story began when a client who owns an online camera store reached out to me. They needed an innovative way to showcase their products in a way that would attract customers and highlight the camera’s details with precision. The task was to create a 3D model of the Canon AE with a 50mm lens for use in their online store.
Stage 1: Visual Reference
I received real-life photos of the camera from the client as a primary reference. These photos were detailed and showed every angle of the camera, helping me understand the design accurately. I analyzed the photos to determine dimensions, proportions, and small details like engravings on the body, buttons, and the lens.
Stage 2: Designing with Hard Surface Modeling
Using Blender, I began transforming the photos into a 3D model. For this stage, I relied on Hard Surface Modeling, a technique specialized in designing objects with hard surfaces and precise geometric details, such as cameras and electronic devices.
Design Steps:
1- Basic Modeling:
2- Adding Details:
3- Topology Optimization:
Stage 3: Lighting and Texturing
The Final Result
The final model was stunning! A highly detailed and realistic 3D model of the Canon AE camera, ready to be showcased in the online store. The client was thrilled with the result, and the camera now stands out in an engaging and attractive way for customers.
