Can't add animation after removing keyframes from purchased turbosquid model

hi, I purchased a model from Turbosquid that’s rigged with a walk cycle. I want to have the character walk to a point and then add a jump I’ll be animating myself. I removed the keyframes from the rig in the moment I want to switch, but now when I try to add keyframes to the rig, it doesn’t animate. the keyframes show up in the dopesheet and I’m able to edit the rig, but it won’t animate.

what is the best method? I removed all the keys in the dopesheet. thanks!

Post up the .blend file is the best way to get help.

Sometimes actions get stashed in the NLA editor and I’m not really sure how that all works, but I’m wondering if that is part of the problem.

So post up the file for someone to look at

As said- this will remove all the key frames from one action, but it sounds like your rig has multiple actions. Switch to the Action Editor in the dope sheet drop-down and you should be able to see those
