I went to the bug tracker today to create a account but can not get a password to take.
Getting an error:
Invalid Unix Name. Illegal character in name.
I tried 3 different times with 3 different passwords…no caps…no spaces…no numbers.
1st, 8 characters…2nd, 12…3rd, 7.
Whats the trick to this?
The problem is in the login name, not in the password.
Which login name you are trying?
That would be 3dtrc.
I use this everywhere. Do I need to change my user name?
I use the same at blender.org.

The bug tracker runs on a different system then blender.org. Maybe it doesn’t like usernames starting with a number.

Yes, that was the problem, username starting with a number. Must be an old system…oh well lol.
Now to figure out how this works.
