Cant embed youtube video

Hi. I’ve tried adding links to youtube, and also pasting embed code into the text view of the editor. The video player shows up, but after clicking save, the embeds disappear.

Hmm, I can’t reproduce this either. I’m curious: do you happen to use other WordPress sites? If not, could there be a browser plugin causing some issues? One way to test this would be to open the Bazaar in a private browser window and log in there - the private browser will not load any plugins.

Just tried in a private browser and the embed still disappears as soon as I click save.

code (removed the following list items for readability):

Turbo Tools is an addon that simplifies, speeds up and improves rendering quality, automates many compositing tasks, and adds new functionality to Blender. Compatible with all hardware and operating systems that support Blender. It includes:
<ul>
 	<li style="list-style-type: none;"></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Turbo Render</strong> - Vastly superior render results in a fraction of the time for both CPU and GPU Cycles rendering. Retains image quality the standard denoisers can't maintain, in some cases even when providing them with images rendered for 120X longer! For complex scenes you can expect your single frame renders to be reduced from several hours to several minutes! Check out the below video to see how Turbo Render was able to get a gtx 1070 to destroy an rtx 4090!</span></span></span></span>

I do use other wordpress sites without issue (my own wordpress sites)

Thanks, that’s useful. I’ll dig around a little to see what’s going on. It seems to be a permission issue, but you have the exact same permissions as my test user

It’s most likely a problem with the settings/privelages of your rich text editor plugin.

looks like this explains the issue:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/2yql5u/shouldnt_be_this_hard_embedded_iframe_youtube/

Thing is that it works ok for other users, so it’s not a site issue, but rather something to do with permissions.

when I just paste in the youtube link, it shows the preview in the editor, but as soon as I preview the site, it just shows a link:

editor:

preview:

I also can’t replicate this, I can embed YouTube links just fine

Michael, can you share the YT link you’re trying to embed?

Here they are:

Just wondering, until it’s fixed, could modify the listing’s html for me? Here’s the html to paste into the editor’s text mode:

<p class="figcaption">Above we can see that the bottom of the cupboard area is getting quite badly mangled up by OIDN and even worse with OPTIX. This is because denoisers can struggle with dark edges of geometry that meet with shadows due to a lack of contrast. Turbo Render can achieve much better results using it's 'slow (all passes mode), even at very low samples (as shown above bottom right).</p>

Done! I really have no idea why this isn’t working for you, worked fine with no problems over here

Awesome, thanks. I’m sure you’ll get to the bottom of it.

Any chance you could submit it for approval for me too. I’m guessing if I do it it’ll modify the html again :+1:

Oh, I see you’ve already published it. Thanks very much :+1:

Oh sorry to bother you again. Would it be possible to change the main image. I was thinking it would need to be the same resolution as Blendernation, here’s a 1920 x 1080.

Would it be possible to change the intro text to this:

Turbo Tools is an addon that simplifies, speeds up and improves rendering quality, automates many compositing tasks, and adds new functionality to Blender. Compatible with all hardware and operating systems that support Blender. Compatible with Blender versions 2.93 to 4.1 Alpha. It includes:

Sorry for the trouble.

No worries, I’ll make those updates in a bit  and we’ll figure how you can make them yourself eventually

Brilliant, thanks :+1:

Hi, am I OK to make those amendments myself yet without the youtube videos getting removed when I click save?
