I’ve set up all the reference points, fixed the hand bones. But now I’m stuck with a blue and orange skeleton and the “Generate Rig” button is nowhere to be found.
Post a screen shot of your rig in the viewport and the outliner
and tell us what version of Blender and ARP you are running.
Where is the character mesh?
show us the ARP panel
also are you selecting the meta rig and the character rig (in the outliner) before trying to bind?
Assume that no one reading this has ever heard of the “CG Dive tutorial”.
This is like asking “why can’t i fix my car” and telling everyone “I’m following the Acura car fix tutorial.” Give us more screenshots, more info on what steps you’re doing, and so on.
I’ve fixed it ![]()
As I’ve explained. I’ve followed step by step all the instructions on how to setup the rig, then at the end, there is no “generate rig” button.
There is no “generate rig” button in Auto rig pro.
After setting your markers you hit the “go” button
and your meta rig is created
after checking that your metarig has lined up with the mesh(fingers etc)
you hit the
“Match to rig” button and your ARP control rig is created
then you choose a binding engine
(heat maps or voxelized) and bind. the control rig to your mesh.
Please go back and actually follow the CG dive tutorial this time.
there is no “match to rig” button
All I see is that greyed out ARP interface I’ve posted the image of.
Download the latest version of auto rig pro from your purchased orders page on Blender hive and re-install it.
I’ve managed to generate the rig. I’ve followed a different tutorial this time. Not sure the issue was because the one I checked at the start had an older version, OR, the guy repositioned the ankles Y axes, therefore no giving me the prompt for generating the rig.
