Can't get Cycles rendered grass (hair particles) to look like Eevee render

I’m a beginner so may have missed something obvious, but I can’t get the grass along the bottom of the wall to show up in a Cycles render as good as it does in a Eevee render of the same scene. What should I check to correct this?

In your Curves options, switch from Strand to Strip under the Viewport Display tab:

UPD: From what I’ve just found, seems like there’s nothing wrong with it, that’s just the way it should work. If you want your hair to be more taller while in Cycles, you should look into the Hair Shape tab in your particles system, namely Tip option. See screenshot below:
