When I set the end clipping there is no visible difference whether the number is 1 or 1000000 so something is not right here. Here is a pic of the render http://m.imgur.com/Ny4JOkr
Are you setting the clipping for the 3d view or for the camera. The camera start and end clip distances are set in the camera settings
In the outliner panel ensure you have no hidden objects in that will cut off the view
