Note: I’m using Auto Rig Pro to be able to rig my character.
First screenshot you can find my rig before it has been “matched to rig” aka converted to a control rig.
How can I edit the control rig so that the circles around the body are smaller?
I’m guessing that’s the problem (screenshot 2) since they overlap with the arms.
Third screenshot shows how things are bound, can’t move the arms without massive deformation on the body.
And yes, I get it, a rig is supposed to be in a T-post before it’s rigged.
Unfortunately it’s been built off another model. It’s pretty hard to just move things around since the model has different layers such as muscles, veins, skeleton, etc… Shown as in pic below:
I tried to export it as an FBX and rig it with mixamo to see if it’s really a problem with the arms being too close to the body, but it’s not. It works perfectly there. (see screenshot 4)
I don’t really understand what I’m doing wrong, all my bones are in the right place. Can someone help me out, please? I’d really like to be able to rig my own characters without having to use mixamo as this sometimes fails
