Can't Select Objects

Hi,

I’ve hit some weird behaviour where I can’t select things anymore and I’m not sure where to look to solve the behaviour. If I load factory settings it’s fixed but for some reason I can’t select in my new default settings. However, this is very new behaviour and I didn’t change any prefs before this started happening so I’m not sure what’s going on.

One moment I could select things like normal and now I can’t. The only way I can select things now is by pressing b to box select but this is very annoying. Does anyone have any ideas where this setting can be fixed?

I can also select when in Tweak mode

Hmm yea it’s not that. And I didn’t see anything that fixed my issue in the link you posted. I can restore my blender back to default but I really don’t want to do that if there’s an easy fix. But it’s definitely not locking selections in the outliner

Not sure what I did to cause this but hitting Restore here solved it:
