Next November, we organize in France an event around Free Software. It takes place in the ENSEEIHT’s engineer school in the center of Toulouse during a weekend (14th and 15th of November). Blender is today the Swiss army knife of 2D and 3D. It could be used to make so many things: videos, 3d models, …
So if you got projects or subjects to speak about, it could the place to begin to.
Conferences could be made in english even if the preferred language is french.
Workshops are also possible.
The call for participation is opened until the 20th of July.

You could find videos and photos of the past editions in the medias’ page of the official web site. The event is gratis and entrance is available with a ticket.
This event is organized by the french non-profit association Toulibre and takes place in Toulouse for more than 10 years.

Is there some kind of compensation for traveling or else ? Are you more interested in practical workshop, demonstrations, or more some showcase, general information …

I work with blender in the french animation industry since a bunch of time, I’ve seen the slow integration of free software in that space and the even slower change of mindset toward open source from studios… Beside seeing a lot of cool projects made with it… Maybe there is something to be done with that ?

For traveling and for accommodation, you could get 150€.
Practical workshop could be great and a more general information presentation about the evolution of open source in studios or maybe on a particular Blender theme.

Ok thanks Guillaume ! Too bad there is little time before 20th to get prepared but I’ll try to think about something ! That could be super interesting !
