Captain Archibald Haddock

Hello guys!

I grew up watching and reading The Adventures of Tintin. When I stumbled upon the illustration of the amazing caricaturist Yoann Lori Yoann Lori’s Artstation, I decided to make my interpretation of his drawing, and do something in between his caricature and the style presented on Peter Jackson’s movie.

The render took 17 minutes using CPU (3070 couldn’t handle it ;/) on Cycles.
There are approximately 600K hairs in the scene, all rendered in one shot at 4000 x 5600.

Hair and fur were done the traditional way, no geometry nodes used.

I’m pretty happy with the result and I intend to sculpt Tintin and Milou next.

I’ll post some close-ups and some viewport renders next.

Hope you enjoy it!!!

Amazing work. Love the details. Would you mind sharing how you got the fabric fuzziness on the edge of the collar?
