car game terrain
q)creating terrain to be imported into directx (for learning purposes) seems to be a real annoying problem for me. For instance i want to create a car game with track and hills on a grassy background either side of the track.

In blender you can create a terrain but i need access to the specific point on the terrain when walk/drive over it for the camera height.Anyone had experience with this?

I’m not sure I understand your problem. How are you causing your camera to follow the car or object around the track? If you have made the car the parent of the camera, it should automatically match the elevation changes with the car.
