Ive just finished my first car model. But when i come to yafray render It appears all jagged. Any tips on how to improve my render techniques or just to get the render to appear smooth? Any helps appreciated, thanks.

Try adding a subsurf modifier. It should help it. But it might take a lot of work to get it to look right.
Make sure you have subsurf enabled for rendering. The box on the right should look like this:-
