Central Perk Promo

This is an image I made for my friend’s work. It’s not meant to be photorealistic, but rather a stylized representation of the store. If they like it, they might us it for some promotional material. It was my first time doing anything architectural, so let me know what you think of it.

I added a few more small details and tweaked a few textures.

It looks like a miniature.

That’s because of the eyeline.

You’ve gone for a very flat composition such that an architect might choose to illustrate a facade…

as such it’s a very simplistic composition that is hard to add drama to.

You may want to consider moving the camera lower (perhaps to the eyeline of a person or waist height.)

If you’re set on not having vertical lines diminish in 3 point perspective ten use the "shift lens " feature to compensate for moving the camera down rather thna just re-framing by tilting up. It’s a common techniwque in architectural vis.

I don’t know what central perk is… i always though it was the fictional coffee shop in friends. It may be worth thinking about what their brand identity is.

Don’t forget the importance of “street furnature” (lamposts, mailboxes, curbs, telegraph/telephone wires, street signs etc.

Because the buildings are typical lowrise American style the architechture is quite bland and simple…

Are there any water towers, additional structures behind? what about distant hills/mountains?? anything that could add more depth?

Compositionally your subject is perpendicular to the camera and flat on. This can be calming, but is about as boring an angle as you can possibly get.

Consider shifting the camer to the right to get some depth looking down that alley… you could have the front of the shop on the left third, the alley on the right third, the horizon on the horizontal lower third…
