“Arm Ada”

Non-Competing.

Didn’t really feel inspired by this theme. Was either going to be an armada of ships, or… an armada of spaceships. So just went with a bad Dad joke, instead.
All thrown together using downloaded models.
FYI: This is Ada from Resident Evil

Hi all, here’s my spin on the challenge. It’s the “Swan-Armada”. Pure, in 3.6 Eevee, 64 samples.

Defenseless - The conglomerate fleet arrives to seize a peaceful planet, to exploit its resources and subjugate the people.

Pure - the people are downloaded 3D scans, and the shader on the ship is a heaviliy modified version of one I made a while ago. Everything else is new. There’s a LOT of geometry nodes: the height of the terrain, scattering the grass and flowers, adding boolean cuts to add extra detail to the edges of the spaceships, and generating the clusters of antennae on the ships.

Close up detail on the ships. The shader procedurally adjusts the texture coordinates to vary the number and some of the markings.

(edit: tweaked the aspect ratio to make better use of the resolution limits on this site, and I much prefer the composition like this! I love a happy accident like that.)

WIP #2 (Non-competing)

Done with the kitbashing, whew, gotta stop here before it becomes an endless detailing lol. Now to scatter them in a scene.

Some cool entries already, and even a pun hahah ! :+1:

I’m sorry to say that I am out of this…

My idea was some paper folded boats floating down a stream, sailing into battle. It would have been an animation, with the boats bouncing and rolling around.

Here’s a screen shot of the stream the boats would have been floating down

So I worked with the fluid sim to create the water. Learning the fluid sim cost me a lot of time.

That’s my paper boat…

So I grabbed some other assets I had, and put my boat into it. I had to produce something after spending this much time on the project.

A non-competing entry.

Happy blending,
Randy

I like how you managed to achieve a sense of variety and depth at the same time. The ships are not all packed together or all going the same way. That bit of randomness really makes it unique.
