Didn’t really have any good ideas for this theme. So, being as very few people would understand the theme, I made a render which very few people would understand. But it is definitely ferly.
Given how astonishing it is to witness a total eclipse in the modern day, can you imagine how terrifying it would be to see one in pre-modern times, without full knowledge of what it was? Having day suddenly turn into night would be truly ferly.
This was fun to make. Everything except the moon is a plane with procedural textures.
@QR16, by the way, this was a really fun and creative prompt! We should definitely do more with archaic words and phrases, as they open up a lot of interesting interpretations.
