“There are two main goals for these contests: Fun and Glory.
Fun: You get only 4 days to create a cool image, based on the theme for the week.
Glory: After 2 days of voting, a winner is declared. The winner picks the theme for next week and will be featured in the Feature Row.”
Open. I made the book; everything else is existing/downloaded.
Another rushed entry this week. Still settling in, so not enough time for my usual 6-10 hour efforts.
I really like this theme, but I just had to buy a hard drive to backup my laptop, because it is struggling to charge. I hope I can make something before it dies completely lol.
Pure blender 4.1 cycles entry. My job suddenly started caring that I only worked 3 days per week, making me work 4 days. My entries will therefore be simpler Unrelated, what happens when model the pages of a book one by one? They look like a slightly modified default cube.
I started low poly this week, as I wanted to get the pose just right. Not sure how high I will go. Looks like I try out a mixture between low-poly and anime. Quite a mix, together with the mid-res blood splashes! hmmm.
Probably no time for CG. If possible then I’ll try to make something based Winston’s work cubicle with a memory hole. I’ve neglected modeling lately and this would be an opportunity to model things.
Maybe just the memory hole. That wouldn’t take too long.
In the beginning I tried a full blown watersimulation, but that was just too much water and still to coarse.
So I ended up with a simple non-gravitiy watersimulation, which I hit with a wedge to generate some splashes, and distributed them with a Geo-Node together with a few handcrafted droplets. One big lump it placed manually, tho.
Splashes: (using a bump map to increase bubbliness further)
