“There are two main goals for these contests: Fun and Glory.
Fun: You get only 4 days to create a cool image, based on the theme for the week.
Glory: After 2 days of voting, a winner is declared. The winner picks the theme for next week and will be featured in the Feature Row.”
Where I grew up, it’s generally accepted that the best way to kill hobo spiders was a can of body spray and a lighter. That failing, an air rifle would do the trick. (If it contextualizes, our state beverage was whiskey mixed with cough syrup)
Getting rid of things made me think of a bunch of unwanted stuff placed on the sidewalk in front of my house. It then made sense to make this about placing a whole bunch of blender assets that I previously made onto a single scene. After a while it became about adding objects without blocking the view of the already placed ones, until I was happy with my composition.
My first idea involved my normal character, a toilet and a plunger. Second idea was the character looking into a refrigerator and opening a container of spoiled food.
And now, late night Saturday, I got an idea about a bomb, and it’s really too late to get a start on something…
Nice work so far everyone!
I feel your pain. Been there, done that, and too stupid to do it again… Nice idea so far!
My original idea was to make something based on ‘The Warlock’s Hairy Heart’ from J.K Rowling’s ‘The Tales Of Beedle The Bard’ but then I changed my mind and did the trash can full of human hearts.
This is indeed a bit sad. Let’s see what the future holds for VIPER, or at least some of its components…
That would probably have made a fine entry! And usually, this isn’t a place where people get all too passionate about rockets. So I wouldn’t expect any issues in that regard. (It still is a sad way to get rid of those remaining RS-25 shuttle engines.)
That’s what I thought when I commented on YouTube about the state of the rocket a while ago, and I got answers from people who visibly didn’t like my comment. So I didn’t want to make a repeat here. Maybe next time if someone chooses rockets or space vehicles as the theme.
Indeed, the clash of rocket fan bases on YouTube can get pretty heated very quickly. Better get some popcorn ready for the next SLS/Starship/Ariane6/New Glenn or even New Shepard launch. But luckily that’s not very likely to happen around here.
