This was a lot of fun to make and kinda therapeutic. This was one of my favorite arcade games when I was a kid. I recently attended a vintage computing festival so I really was in the mood for participating in this theme.
Open- The only thing that’s not new is the font, but it’s a pretty important part of the scene.
I don’t know what the right way to make those rock walls is, but it definitely wasn’t the way I did it. It was really tedious and slow and ended up looking super janky. I kinda wish I had enough time to start over.
Pure, Non-competing
Back in the day, a friend had this game on his Amiga 500. I always appreciated the game’s comical style, but since I didn’t own it myself, I stuck mostly to Rainbow Islands and Rick Dangerous. If time permits, I’ll definitely work on this a bit more, as it’s far from finished.
Especially if you use the mode where you have to move in the real world in order to move the paddle. Of course there is another mode where simply moving the controller moves the paddle.
Yes, a sizeable empty room would be needed. The box would include a warning where the player is solely responsible for damages that may occur during gameplay.
