“There are two main goals for these contests: Fun and Glory.

Btw.: Comments are welcome in both threads (entries/voting). Have fun!

Question: Does writing a completelly new addon that uses blender to produce a particle system animation with complex behavior qualify as a pure or open entry? The addon would be designed specifically for the entry.

It would be a pure entry.

I think we have to ask, was AI used to write the add-on? Because in a case like that the rules weren’t really written with that possibility in mind.

I dont code with AI, I hate having to reverse-engineer code.

Same, AI code is the worst code I have ever seen, it never makes sense.

Well then kudos to you if you can write the module from scratch yourself just for this. That’s pretty cool.

Resources used:

  • Particles with KS Extra Nodes by @3D_Singh
  • Car model from iMeshh
  • Environment models and textures from Megascans
  • Blurring primarily with Mp_Comp by @Moportfolio
  • Post-processing with RenderRaw

About the process:

  • Separate render layers for the environment, car, wheels, and particle system.
  • Apply strong directional blurring during compositing.

I made several attempts to add dynamic dust particles, but ultimately, they consumed a lot of RAM and still didn’t resemble proper dust. I believe what’s missing is a smoke simulation. The particles you see here already use 10 GB of RAM. Am I doing something wrong, or is this normal? To me, this seems excessive.

Pure / Blender 5.0 / EEVEE

Created through Geometry Nodes. Music is from a free demo piece provided through FL Studio.

Originally meant to be a single image presentation but then i stumbled upon animating the particles themselves and couldn’t let go. lol

This tutorial kind of haunts me. I was strongly inspired by it this week. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imkSdlbXB_U
