Looking back at this I don’t think it’s clear enough what the non-kiwi item is. It was completely obvious to me while making it, that it’s a POTATO. Hiding a little too well perhaps…
Didn’t quite turn out how I imagined… but anyway… This one was inspired by some microscopic flowers that bloom every year all over the ground in my area. Everyone always get’s so excited about the large flowers but, for me, the real “treasure hiding in plain sight” are these tiny little flowers! I feel bad walking sometimes because there are so many that you simply can’t avoid stepping on them.
I was initially going to do a 3D scene but then decided I’d experiment with Blender’s 2D drawing tools so this is my first ever 2D drawing in Blender, and it definitely shows. LOL
So I had this idea and I thought I would do some camera tracking/vfx stuff. Drove around the older parts of town looking for a location. Parked the vehicle, walked around, shot 2 videos in back alleys, neither one was what I really wanted but maybe I could make something out of it. Walking back to my vehicle I noticed the building in the video. Didn’t notice it at first because when I parked, it was behind my vehicle. I parked, got out and walked forward, not knowing the perfect location was hidden in plain sight behind me…
