@Randy: I’m still fairly new to the forums so my post is awaiting moderation. I’m surprised that it was picked up at all!

Alas… there never was to my knowledge a real German rail-gun like that one.

Well, what do you know. I’m more familiar with the German fortified-trains which of course used much smaller guns. I didn’t know of any production weapons that required double-tracks used at once.
