I got the bitmaps for earth from NASA’s site http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/view_cat.php?categoryID=1484 otherwise everything is pure blender, cycles rendered. I guess it is still pure entry?

Yeah, the scales in that are kind of troublesome. Had to cheat quite a bit to get the effect as I wanted, like the earth is perhaps twice the size of the climber, and the cable shrinks on it way to almost zero
