If the winner doesn’t supply a theme before Thursday 22:30 GMT, the organizer will select the theme. In this case, the winner’s theme will be used the next time we are lacking a theme on Thursday 22:30 GMT.
Having selected the theme, the winner will not be eligible to enter that week. They may however still submit an image, but it won’t be included in the voting.
Great entries, everyone! I was thinking of pastel colors when I proposed the theme, but I left it vague intentionally, and I definitely think we ended up with an awesome batch of creative entries!
My votes this week were for @Maelys031 for the beautiful composition and texture work (it turned out absolutely amazing!), as well as @kaidoe for the simple, yet stunningly well put together entry (Love the shader work and the aesthetic positioning, it looks just like an advertisement!)
And for my last vote, it was very close between @FlyingBanana and @deltaray. Although they had similar entries, FlyingBanana did execute the idea first, and I loved the materials in the entry, so my vote went to FlyingBanana. Deltaray, your messages were absolutely hilarious, and you would have had my 4th vote if I could give it. And I’ll admit if you submitted yours earlier I probably would have voted for you instead since it was so close! The piling of them is really aesthetic in itself, and the puns are just fantastic, amazing job!
Anyway, amazing entries, everyone! I look forward to what you all come up with next week!
Actually, that is the reason for the order change you noticed. The voting order is based on the time of the last edit.
“In the event of a tie between Pure or Open entries, the earliest submitted entry will win - the submission time is taken as the last edited time of the submission message”
Wow, thanks so much, really appreciate it. I wish I could have found a better detail texture, I used some reference pics that showed a lot more scratches on the crayons than the “plaster wall” bump map I went with.
I like @deltaray and @FlyingBanana’s images, really good ideas for the topic and some really funny labels on the hearts in @deltaray and both achieved that nice pastel grade without looking washed out which I was struggling with.
Nice! And it seems to be a great choice of citizenships.
I’m hearing a lot of nice news about Portugal, lately. For instance, the rising right-wing populism doesn’t seem to stand much of a chance around there, so far.
