Snail Suzanne

Pure entry, Cycles render, 64 samples & compositor denoising in 2.90.0 beta. Composition is kinda Rule of Thirds, 8x5 aspect ratio. Environment is sunrise.exr (one of Blender’s included studiolights). An earlier version was Open because the shell was made with SVerchok nodes; this shell was made with Blender’s included Add-on “Add Mesh: Extra Objects” Add > Mesh > Math Function > XYZ Math Surface that RayVelcoro shows down-topic – thanks @RayVelcoro! Other things I did for this that I’ve never done before: Used bendy bones (I rarely rig) and made a mesh from a Bezier curve (the eyestalks).

I did a snail a while ago, all procedural textures, the shell is a great challenge!

That’s one of the funniest Suzanne takes I’ve seen. Nice!

pure entry

Lowpoly scene, with a bit of compositor. I need some more practice in lowpoly, so that’s why I’m here
