Fun: You get only 4 days to create a cool image, based on the theme for the week.

To elaborate on the title:
This is going to be a bit different. I don’t want to see actual pokemon. I do want to see how you can take the pokemon style and imitate or parody it. Wacky creature combinations with tacky names. What can you come up with?

I haven’t either in fact, but they have always been known for their style of character design, and I thought it would be an interesting theme to play with.
But when in doubt, it all boils down to your interpretation of the theme.
Pure
I used to think Kirby was a Pokemon, back when I only knew him from Smash. (I was like, ten or something) Not exactly an original character, but since all my characters end up looking like blobs anyway, I might as well embrace it and make everyone’s favorite blob.
All done in Blender using multiple scenes, the holdout shader and compositing. I think this is the first time I’ve used multiple scenes like so it was a learning opportunity. I did have a little help as my son made the lightning bolts
