The anticipation-action-reaction happens too fast for me to understand. I had to watch this 4 times to catch that (a) the fly wrapped his tongue around the stick, and (b) that the stick wedged his mouth open. Maybe if you use “Bullet Time” to slow down the main event, and maybe even repeat the “Anticipation” from 3 different angles / zooms in rapid succession… dialate the chameleon’s pupils in the anticipation to show that he understands what is about to happen. With 3 different takes, zoom in more each time on the chameleon’s eyes to imply the “tunnel vision” of dread, followed by the action-reaction.
This is really cute, great blender-work! Keep animating, and please share more! 
thanks for your feedback. you are right it’s hard to get all the action that is happening. but thats a limitation of the template scene with a short frame length and the slowmo that was obligatory. nevertheless i wanted to tell a little storry within this 5 seconds
