Change Color in animation?

I want change the color of a box when a plug goes into it but I am not sure on how to change the color of it in the animation. I want like a dark color to a bright color. Thanks for you time if you help me out.

Change to the material buttons (F5), hover the mouse over the buttons window and press I, choose RGB, change the animation frame, change the color, then insert another RGB key.
