Changing places to work - photos of my journey

HI Guys!
As I was getting a lot of questions about my PC specs, I would like to have this in one place because we also did quite a lot of moving around with such big cases

I started with 3D maybe back in 2010, and I was switching turns with my brother on “family” PC. I earned money for my first laptop by drawing pictures/portraits (by hand from photos) and recently I found several photos of my working spaces, so I want to post them.

Hope you find it interesting and you can share your journey
Maybe compare your photos from back then and now

Shame I do not have older photos

This was also one older setup with 3 GPU ( form 2017):
Intel I7-3820, 3,6 GHZ
48 GB ram
Nvidia GTX 1080, Nviadia GTX 780, Nvidia GTX 980ti
250GB SSD and 1TB HDD
Motherboard is Intel® Desktop Board DX79SI

I invested gradually into PC throughout the years
I had also Titan Z and GTX 780, 1050 TI , etc.

And to the frequent question, I have a 4090 now, and the PC is built around it  before it was 2x3090 - computers are still used in the company - ZORE visuals.

How were performances on stacked GPUs? I assume 4090 is faster than 2x3090 because you switched? I wanted to go that route as well but not sure it makes sense anymore with PCIe halving.

Also do you have side panel removed in last picture, AND exposed side aligned in front of your feet? You’re asking for disaster.

do you often work kneeling? interesting.

i also need as much variation as possible.

I switched, but only because I needed a new PC. Usually, it works like this - either my wife or one of our employees inherits the older setup. Just to clarify: when we hire someone, we also provide them with a PC to use. Of course, if they end their cooperation with us, they can either buy it or we take it back.

As for the “disaster” you mentioned - don’t worry! My desk is deep enough, and I’ve actually moved my PC to a different room with better cooling. The decision came after some of my plants got damaged from the hot, dry air -even though I had water cooling, summer was a nightmare.

Now my PC lives alone downstairs.
It’s a funny story actually - I’m using 20m+ cables to connect everything (from the PC to my monitor + mouse), but that’s a story for another time.
The good news is: my plants are safe, the office is quieter, and there’s a lot less heat!

Actually, kneeling is the position I use the least, but I often squat on my chair. Since my desk is adjustable, I also stand quite a lot.

+1 for the cute employee training. clean looking setup you have compared to old ones.

Sometimes you have to work with what you have around  Now I see I have the table for 6y + so I am glad it was a good investment - only the second one broke so we bought new legs, but still  Recommended to have one and not just sit around -as I do not have a fancy PC chair, I do recommend investing in this kind of table rather than a chair

for me sitting the whole day is horrible no matter how good the chair is. the only thing that helps for me is changing position very often. for sitting at the moment i prefer a gymnastics ball.

I have to find my gymnastic ball  my youngest employee is not very tidy, so it will be probably in her “office”

Oh that’s great. I can relate to almost every pic. One time I had a ping pong table for a desk. It was actually the best desk I every had. Lots of room.

Here’s a couple shots of earlier days but I have no pics of way further back and the ping pong table. Before this I had a CRT monitor that must have weighed nearly 100lb.
