My rendition of Charon, the ferryman of the River Styx in Hades (from Greek Mythology):

creepyness.
the teeth look a little too uniform, and the ripples around the hood look strange.
Woah, awesome! Really nice! I think possibly the hood should be a tad lighter though.
Great feel to this image.

venge: Thanks for the reply! For the cloak I wanted it very heavy and thick, something that looked like it could retard the flames, and also look almost hardened, if not molded to him in the endless heat of the place.
Cuby: Thanks, Cuby!

Scary! Nice work as usual, but I agree with venge’s comment about the teeth. I like the fleshy material you used on the mouth = )
The modeling of the hood is way off, the wrinkles look like chicheled in. The head desing is good, but I don’t like the material it has. And further more I think the chain links should be a tad thicker.
Ive got a B rated horror movie vibe from this, its got a creepy feel to it certainly but there is an issue for me bout the head, it doesnt make sense, it looks like there is a wall of flesh with a mouth and then there is a wierd sort of hood around it and that looks… frilly.
Really good effort, it looks like you were learning as you went along. 4 stars.
very nice!
Let’s just say I like your Cave image better.
This is not bad, but this is not my favorite of your works. Some of the transition between the flesh and the hood is a little harsh.
cool!
i think i like the background of chains more tho
could we see a wireframe ?
Very cool, and interesting.
I think the chains on the left at first appear in the background, but they overlap the shoulder, so they must be in the foreground. This weird illusion could be because most of the other chains are much larger… but it could be just me;)
All in all… AWESOME!!
p.s. I just checked out your website yesterday (for the first time). And… wow…
Thanks for the comments!
Here’s a wireframe:
