Very nice! Can you tell us about the light setup?

So I’m using Cycles with Adaptive Sampling…
And in the other hand I’m using RealSky and Photographer Addons.
The volumetrics are post-production.

Are you using Ambient Occlusion to brighten the interior?

No, I just put an AO passe over it to highlight shadows slightly in multiply mode in the post-production phase. But without going overboard.

Looks very cool! Eerie in a way. Almost like a setting for the front of a book/novel! I like it!!

I used Jacques Lucke’s Scatter Object, it’s included in blender, just activate it.

Ah nice! I guess I should use that too. Also how the hell did you model that spiral stairs? Screw modifier maybe?

Inspiring work! makes me want to start a new simple room project.

Did you create the stair decor yourself? Those are absolutely stunning!

For the spiral stairs, i used an array modifier with the help of an Empty.

Yeah, I modeled them myself. The whole scene is modeled by me.
