Chenging the Axis of an object (HOW)

I’ve drawn an object up, and I’ve found the ‘Axis’ toggle in the geometry tab (F9)… and the axis is off the shonk.

I suspect this is putting all my DXF’s at bizarre angles.

I assume it’s possible to put this axis back in alignment with the rest of the model?

Apply Size/Rot (Ctrl-A) realigns the axis.
