I built the whole scene in blender and the china building model is from free model company.
I did not use artificial intelligence (No Ai)

Great photo!

:tada: Congratulations, this work was a winner in the Best of Blender Artists 2024 award in the Exterior Architecture category!

Looks wonderful, do you have any tips to share in order to achieve this type of realism? What are your render settings?

I’m not the creator of the image, but looking at this, I think this image has rather basic lighting and rendering and the realism is all in the models.

The bridge looks like a photoscan of a real bridge, though this result could probably be achieved by a good sculptor / texture painter too.

The trees look like they have fully modeled leaves, that’s the way to get such realistic trees with a 3D model. Lots of tree models use textures on flat planes for performance reasons, but it’s not entirely realistic. Real leaves aren’t flat, they have a complex curved 3D structure. This makes for realistic, but very heavy trees, so they have to either be used sparingly, or with lots of instancing and hiding them in the viewport.

I think it’s the colors which are spot on and recognizable as what the average tourist shoots with an average camera, which makes it very believable.

Cycles is notoriously bad with outdoors vegetation, and this is the best I’ve seen yet.
