Church of Great Martyr Barbara

Church of Great Martyr Barbara was built in Nizhny Novgorod in 1757 and destroyed under Soviet rule in 1958. I’ve used the archive blueprints from the Central Archive of Nizhny Novgorod Region, and the only pre-revolutionary photo, to reconstruct it in Blender.

The reference photo was black-and-white, so I invented the colors of the temple by myself. This also applies to the interior: there were only walls scheme on the blueprint, by the way, this scheme also wasn’t 100% clean, so I decided to invent the interior. Church utensils were drawn from utensils of real orthodox temples of Nizhny Novgorod.
