Hello friends!
My name is Rogério Perdiz. IMDB | Linkdin | Twitter | Blog
I’m from Portugal, 40 years old, and a blender artist since 2000.
Background:
I work for Boombit in the CGI department responsible for game trailers, game cinematics, and advertising. I also worked on the movie “Apollo 10 1/2” by Richard Linklater.
The project:
I’m working with my wife, @Rute_Perdiz , on a short animation project featuring frogs, martial arts, and old western gun slingers called " Clash on Little Pond ".
You can see all the current development here at this blenderartists WIP thread:
https://blenderartists.org/t/clash-on-little-pond
The task:
We have 12 characters all made (some are missing on the above image) …“all”, except the rigging part of them.
That’s where you come in.
If you fancy rigging, perhaps would like some exercise to improve your rigging skills, and have some time to spare, we would be more than happy to trust you with the task of creating the rigs for all these dudes.
The Rewards:
- Credit as “Rigging by”, on everything the movie is released (posters, credits, brochures, IMDB, youtube, etc);
- Experience rigging AAA characters that you can show on your portfolio;
- Doubts solved as soon as possible by direct messaging me;
- You are encouraged (required actually ) to share the progress on the project Blenderartists WIP thread… not sure if this is a reward or more work, tho
CV Requirements:
- Have a good rigging background to show (on video preferably);
- Have free time;
- Patience to re-do the same thing over and over until it gets right and then do that 12 more times;
- Will to explore new things and walk uncharted terrain.
Rigging knowledge requirements:
- Ability to rig FK and IK with switches;
- Knowledge of how to do cartoony animation (squash and stretch);
- Ability to rig face expressions, using bones and/or shape keys.
If this feels like you then we would love to talk with you
Thanks for your attention!
Best regards
Rogério
