Cleaning up geometry between two cylinders

Hello, I have come across a part that is giving me one hell of a time to model it. It is the Kar98K bolt sleeve. As you can see, I modeled it… sort of. There are some lightning issues I would like to sort out, thing is, I don’t really know how to do such a complex shape. Thanks for any ideas or tips!


I think you will need to work on your geometry to get a cleaner result.

Yes, but unfortunately the transition betwenen the two planes that lead up to the top cylinder is not shown. Also it is curved towards the bottom of the plane where it blends into the lower one, how the hell can this be accomplished, without bevel screwing things up :smiley:

Some of that can be made simpler by activating the Edit Mesh Tools and it’s Offset Edges Extrude… ( one of the hidden gems in add-ons )
