Cloths in hard surface models

Hello again,

I’ve been working on a model that requires me to have Cloth elements in a hard-surface model. Specifically I’m trying to get these “Blast Bags” done correctly:

The Black Bags are the Blast Bags protecting the Turret from saltwater and overpressure.

I’m trying to do this via Cloth simulation but the result has been unsatisfactory because I can’t secure the bag to the mantlet of the gun.

I was wondering if you guys would go about this in another way?

Hi! You could make a vertex group containing the vertices you want to fix and set it active in the pin group of the cloth modifier. That’d work for a static mechanism (the tube not moving up and down).
