Collapse Bone Influence?

I have rigged my character so I can pose her. Now that I am done posing her, I want to remove the bones but keep the pose intact because I want to go back to sculpting. Is there a way to do this?

ctrl+A > visual geometry to mesh

It didn’t work because when I deleted the bones, the mesh scaled up and rotated like crazy :frowning:

Do this, then clear parent and keep transform, (Alt P), then delete all vertex groups, then remove the rig modifier

There was one issue though, the hair particles that I have used went all out of place. Is there a way to keep it how it was? I have parented the hair particle to the bone by the way. :thinking:

Oops, looks like I just had to apply the Current Pose as Rest Pose :smiley:
