collition detection

when I want blender to respond to a collition, at least one of the objects has to have dynamic on. Is there a way to get around it?

you want the collision sensor to detect two non-dynamic objecs colliding?

do both those objects have actor on?

The static-static collision case is a known bug.

Still, is there some way to get around it? Some method to get it to work anyway?
