Quite cool  But when I play the .blend file, nothing happen.
That is AWESOME:D
thanks
Arcoooo, to see the expanding rings when the arrows hit, you’ll have to render. they are colored lights with an animated texture on them, so they don’t show up in the 3D view.
Thanks for sharing.
I understand that I won’t see the expanding rings, but the arrows didn’t move either.
Those are nice arrows. Is it just me, or is taper fixed in 2.5? I took the profile curve for the arrows and flattened it out and it seemed to remain flat at the tip. A BLUNT arrow.
Arcoo, you need to open it in 2.5 for it to work properly. Also, treatkor, I think you left something out, when I rendered, the rings weren’t there.
Hmm, I opened the file, and clicked render right off the bat, and not there. Also, you should do a tutorial, because this is a nifty piece of work!
I think it is the circleexp_001.png file. It appears to be blank in the downloadable 06 version of the file.
Maybe he didn’t pack the image.
doh! yes i guess i forgot the images i used for the texture sequence. thanks for figuring that out. i re-uploaded the file with the images, the file is arrow_impacts_06.zip
enjoy!
Now its there.
Thanks again, nice work!
This is wonderful - thank you for sharing. I might be able to use the arrow technique in a project I’m starting at work.
Great work.I like it
I don’t know the impact you’re searching for,
but moving the arrows faster can give you an intersting punch, I think
The wave on the earth are really cool bth
Great work!Thanx for sharing
thank you for the nice comments. i composited some different render sequences together with some audio for a final version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrGXrec8HfU
So are you using a freestyle branch to get those outline versions of the arrows?
