Colour Picker Hotkey in Texture Paint mode

Hi,

I’m trying to find a hotkey to bring up the colour picker whilst texture painting. I’m told it’s “s”, but that’s not doing anything at all for me. Can anybody think why that would not be working please?

Right mouse click.

Do you mean…

Right mouse click >
click the colour palette >
click the colour picker >
click on image to sample colour >
right click again to hide pop up window

That’s a lot of clicking. Is there not a quicker way to sample a colour?

Just the Right mouse button click, it works as color picker while in texture paint mode:

When you press “S” it will sample the colour under the mouse cursor

Just clicking the right mouse button brings up the window like your image shows. The colour isn’t picked until you do all the other things on my list.

S isn’t working for me. Any ideas why?

What version are you using? Maybe the shortcut was changed in recent versions…?

EDIT: Just tested in Blender 4 and yes, the shortcut is Shift+X now. I wasn’t aware of that keymap change

I confused color picker with color palette.
