Comment quote weirdness

When I write replies in threads, I get weird … stuff. Little chunks of quotes show up unannounced, or quotes disappear the moment I submit a reply. Be honest… do I need an excorcist?

Basically every time I quote someone on a website using this codebase (discorse?), I have to change the line breaks so that the quote appears as a proper block, and not some weird inline paragraph.

Happens on mobile, and desktop… and not just BlenderArtists. Don’t know why, but I’ve just gotten used to having to backspace a lot before I hit REPLY.

Quotes do seem to be a bit finicky- I’ve found the best results in having at least one new line before and after quotes, like this:

I’ve added a new line before and after, and it should? display correctly.
