Has anyone ever compiled Blender for the XBOX or Playstation?
Get enough of these guys together and you would have a great render farm or a small supercomputer, for cheap. The University of Illinois made one out of a number of Playstation 2’s, I think it was about 70 of them.
cost/performance wise the xbox is not a good choice, and the ps2 is a particularly bad choice [without significant modifications to the code blender would run about like being run on a pentium 2]
also both of the machines you suggested have insufficent amounts of ram.
