Complex movement

Hello Blender friends!

I’m trying to do a complex (i guess) movement, but at the same time i think i can achieve that if i use the right constraints, that’s why i need your help. I want the ball to go from one side to the other, and while that happens, i want the mesh on top to go up and down, colliding with the ball. I know this can be achieved using simulations, but i was wondering if it’s possible to do with rigging and constraints (using something like shrinkwrap maybe?). I’m want to do like that because i think it will be easy to animate. Any help is welcomed

Hey, hi…

Can you explain this a bit more -

Do you want the curved upper mesh to only move up and down, on the z-axis as the ball moves, or do you want to top piece to tilt as the ball moves?

Example - ball moves to corner of the top mesh, does the top mesh move straight upward? Or does the top mesh raise at that corner and drop at the opposite corner?

Either way, I think I would use drivers to control the top mesh.

Feel free to ask questions,
