Compositor, Lighting Artist - Maya

A unique opportunity has risen with one of Australia’s leading animation companies – Liquid Animation. We are looking for a senior Lighting/Compositing Artist to join our in-house production team to work on various projects from TVCs to long-form series. Based in-house at our Brisbane studio, you will be working to the Technical and Creative Directors, starting immediately.

The following skills are considered essential to the review of potential applicants:

  • 8-10 years minimum experience working with Maya
  • 5+ years working with Chaosgroup’s VRay for Maya
  • 3+ years working with The Foundry’s Nuke

Applicants are expected to provide a strong lighting and compositing portfolio featuring a variety of different styles/moods that harmonize the technical and creative aspects of production.

Applicants that can demonstrate a strong proficiency for FX production, including Maya Fluid, NParticle and Bifrost simulations will be highly regarded.

An applicant with strong experience in 3dsmax would also be considered favourably.

Experience in other facets of production would be extremely beneficial to the approval process, but are not considered mandatory. Please note, this is an internal position for experienced compositors and fx artists – freelancers and juniors will not be considered.
