Sorry if this has been asked before, but I also did a search for my questions but no real definite answers 
either that or I failed miserably, for which I am sorry!
I was wondering for those doing 3d modeling/animation etc (I am new so still wondering all that goes on with making models and animation) what computer requirements would you reccommend a person getting into the field should have? I currently own a P-6831 FX (has vista home basic) and was wondering if it was strongly reccomended that I upgrade my cpu and upgrade the RAM and or hardrive(to a 7200rpm)?
Also I guess if you could just recommend a barebones building a tower, what would be the ideal specs (dont gotta specify parts just possibly some numbers)?
I guess mainly I want to know what you all look for in building something to support your creations and how you store it (ex large fast hdds, or externals for backups etc)?
I dont know how far this passion will take me into 3d modeling and animation but I at least will be prepared equipment wise with your help lol :o
